The DYNASTY (demonstrating a platform for DYNAmic Traffic information Services for the ciTY of Beijing) project has been created in cooperation between the key Chinese authorities and a number of major European industry players. It is the first common European demonstration effort for ITS applications in China and it will strengthen the European technological presence in China through the raised awareness of European-developed ITS technologies as demonstrated and validated by the project participants. The project is a follow-up to the finalised BITS project, which defined the DYNASTY activities as the best step in order to boost EU-China cooperation on ITS. DYNASTY has four main priority areas: traffic information and navigation services, digital mapping, traffic planning, and public transport management.
