ERTICO – ITS Europe is a multi-sector, public/private partnership pursuing the development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS). ITS - Intelligent Transport Systems and Services - is the integration of information and communications technology with transport infrastructure, vehicles and users in order to improve the transport system as a whole including issues related to road safety, traffic efficiency, environmental issues and system and infrastructure security.

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time (m/f)

CONGRESS PROGRAMME ASSISTANT

for a challenging position in an international environment.

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Technical Paper Handling and Sessions Organisation, with main tasks such as paper submission follow-up, papers evaluation, papers allocation, author notification, moderator coordination, speaker management, database management, proofreading documents, Creation of CD ROM proceedings, on-site support, some congress logistics and administrative work.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a detail-orientated and enthusiastic team player who exercises initiative and can organise their work under strict deadlines with the ability to set priorities;
• Be native English-Speaking or equivalent with good verbal and written skills; Proficiency in French and other European languages an advantage.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in speakers’ management and Congress Organisation;
• Have good Communication and relation skills;
• Have excellent knowledge of MS Office and experience in database management;
• Have excellent planning and organisational skills;
• Be flexible and stress resistant;
• Be willing to travel.
