AGORA

Universal location referencing
AGORA is making it possible for ITS applications to describe and communicate locations efficiently by implementing in real-life applications the universal location referencing method proposed and validated during the EVIDENCE project. It has also extended the EVIDENCE approach by taking both topology and geometry into account.
Objectives
- Adapt and fine-tune the EVIDENCE location referencing approach for the applications to be trial implementations
- Implement and test the location referencing method in telematics applications comprising the full service chain
- Launch the Hannover (Germany) trial site using WAP on GSM
- Disseminate the technology through workshops and other media
- Provide input to enable standardisation (CEN, ISO, ETSI)
