DELTA

In-vehicle integration of DSRC communication link
The objective of this project is to enable the integration of the DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) link as standard in-vehicle equipment. DELTA is establishing a standardised interface between CEN-compliant DSRC units and the in-vehicle electronics.
Objectives
- Develop and agree upon the physical architecture and interface specifications to be used in developing the interface between DELTA DSRCprototypes and on-board terminals, as well as for mass-market deployment
- Ensure proper function of tolling tags installed behind metallic windscreens
- Produce recommendations on related issues such as antenna position and design
- Conduct field trials
- Expand on solutions to introduce new services and applications
- Create DELTA Forum to validate project proposals and build consensus
