Galileo mission implementation
This project aims to perform a number of programmatic activities, in parallel with the design and development of the Galileo system components, to ensure that the Galileo system will be viable and widely acceptable to users: standardization, certification, frequency allocation.
Objectives The project focuses on the following key tasks:
Standardisation
- Coordination of standardisation activities between the different domains
- Organisation and support of technical coordination meetings
- Coordination of actions for exploitation of results (publication, workshop…)
Certification
- Coordination of certification activities
- Organisation and support of technical coordination meetings
- Coordination of actions for exploitation of results (publication, workshop…)
- Overall technical coordination on frequency activities.
In the project, ERTICO is monitoring the standardisation activities in the road sector in relation to the use of GNSS technology, as well as making recommendations for modifications or additions to standard documents in existence or in preparation within the ITS domain, in order to take due account of GNSS performance end services.
