2005 ADASIS Forum General Assembly reviews results, presents 2006 objectives
Date: 04 July 2005
The ERTICO-coordinated ADASIS Forum held its 2005 General Assembly 23 June 2005 at ERTICO in Brussels, attracting a large participation of Forum Members coming from OEMs, ADAS suppliers, navigation system suppliers and map makers.
The meeting included a presentation of the last results of the EC-supported, ERTICO-coordinated MAPS&ADAS project – a subproject of IP PReVENT- with regards to the ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) Interface and the safety-enhanced digital maps were presented and reviewed by Members. In addition, the objectives of the ADASIS Forum for 2006 were discussed and agreed, with the Forum’s major objective to ensure consolidation and continuation of the standardised ADAS Interface development - including submission to standardisation bodies.
The increasing interest from commercial vehicle manufacturers also lead to the creation of a dedicated Task Force that will explore specific requirements and coordinate accordingly the extension of the ADAS Interface concept.
