ERTICO News: Geneva 2008 – ERTICO stand to host interactive ITS kiosk & quiz

The 7th European Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services in Geneva will focus on the theme of “ITS for Sustainable Mobility”. A host of innovative solutions to optimise the European transport network and to realise the synergy between intelligent transport systems, services and logistics will be presented.

The focus on ITS innovations for sustainability will be mirrored by ERTICO’s stand, where visitors can explore ITS solutions to the challenges of transport, such as road safety, congestion, and efficient journey planning. At ERTICO’s interactive kiosk, visitors can assume the role of a virtual hero, piloting through a short film, which shows real-life, everyday traffic situations. Participants in the game will learn about the societal benefits of ITS in situations of everyday life. Following the interactive game, visitors are invited to participate in a quiz, ERTICO’s ‘ITS Quiz’, in which they can test their (newly acquired) knowledge of ITS and win a prize.
