ERTICO News: Registration rates announced for World ITS Congress

1 April 2008 marks opening of online registration for the 15th World Congress in New York City.

The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) has announced the registration package rates for attendees, speakers, moderators, students and accompanying persons who will be attending the 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, 16-20 November 2008, in New York City.

ITS America’s 2008 Annual Meeting & Exposition will be combined with the 15th World Congress on ITS making it the largest ITS event in the world.  Delegates will be able to experience all of the highlights of ITS America’s Annual Meeting—nearly 50 educational sessions, Forum Showcases, Best of ITS Awards ceremony, technical tours—with the added bonus of a World Congress on ITS.  The 250,000 square foot exhibit hall is nearly sold out and will host 177 organisations from around the world.  The World Congress programme will feature over 200 educational sessions and is expected to attract 10,000 delegates from more than 40 countries.  You don’t want to miss out on this event.

4-Day Delegate Registration – Early Bird $975 (by 1 September) and Regular $1,375 (after 1 September) – This package includes admission to all sessions including the opening and closing sessions, exhibit hall, Sunday’s opening ceremony, Monday’s exhibit hall reception and all Congress materials (including a copy of the Congress proceedings on CD-ROM).  This package also includes lunch tickets for all four days.

1-Day Delegate Registration - $500 – This package includes admission to all sessions including the opening and closing sessions and exhibit hall for one day.  One-day delegates will also receive a copy of the Congress proceedings on CD-ROM and a lunch coupon.

4-Day Speaker/Moderator Registration - $875 – All official Congress speakers and moderators will receive the same registration package as the 4-Day Delegate Registration package.  All speakers and moderators must purchase a Speaker/Moderator registration package.

1-Day Speaker/Moderator Registration - $500 – All official Congress speakers and moderators will receive the same registration package as the 1-Day Delegate Registration packages.  All speakers and moderators must purchase a Speaker/Moderator registration package.

Exhibits Only - $150 Per Day – This is a per day package.  Your badge is good for one day of Congress exhibits. 

Accompanying Persons - $275 – Spouses and companions of delegates to the Congress can purchase an accompanying persons registration which includes admission to the opening and closing session, exhibit hall, Sunday’s opening ceremony and Monday’s exhibit hall reception. The accompanying person registration package is intended for spouses, companions and other non-participating persons.  Colleagues and peers are not considered accompanying persons and must purchase the appropriate registration package.

Students - 4-Day $175 and 1-Day $100 – Special registration rates have been set for full-time students to experience the 15th World Congress.  The 4-Day registration package includes admission to all sessions including the opening and closing sessions, exhibit hall, Sunday’s opening ceremony, Monday’s exhibit hall reception and all Congress materials (including a copy of the Congress proceedings on CD-ROM).  This package also includes lunch tickets for all four days.  The 1-Day registration package includes admission to all sessions including the opening and closing sessions and exhibit hall for one day.  One-day delegates will also receive a copy of the Congress proceedings on CD-ROM and a lunch coupon.  Students may not be employed full time.  A letter from a university registrar documenting enrollment as a full-time student must be presented at the registration desk on site.

Press – Members of the press are admitted to the Congress at no charge.  Proper credentials are required.  You will be able to attend all sessions, exhibits and all receptions inside the exhibit hall.  You will receive a copy of the Congress proceedings on CD-ROM.  Members of the press are highly encouraged to pre-register by contacting squirarte@itsa.org.

Tickets for technical tours and for Wednesday evening’s “Night in Times Square” event are not included in any of the registration packages.  Tickets to those events may be purchased separately at the time of registration.  Online registration will open 1 April.
