ERTICO News: Website for 7th ITS Europe Congress now open

Information on 4-6 June 2008 ITS European Congress in Geneva is now available online.

The 7th ITS European Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) will take place in the international city and region of Geneva, Switzerland, 4-6 June 2008. The website of Geneva 2008 is now open to submit technical/scientific papers and to learn more about the Special Interest Session Proposals.

With the theme "ITS for Sustainable Mobility", Geneva 2008 will focus on how best to optimise the use of the European transport network by exploiting all the most up-to-date tools and services available and how to realise the synergy between intelligent transport systems, services and logistics. The specific location of Geneva, as an attractive but fragile alpine ecosystem which is put under considerable pressure from an increasing transport demand, will be taken into account. The various sessions will also showcase many real examples of how ITS will enable a safer, more secure, more efficient and environmentally friendly use of the diverse European transport systems.
