eSafety Forum opens its membership
Date: 09 March 2006
The eSafety Forum, a platform set up to promote and monitor the implementation of the recommendations of the eSafety Working Group and support the development, deployment and use of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Systems, has now opened its membership to interested companies and organisations.
Already involving over 150 active members representing all road safety stakeholders, the eSafety Forum is largely recognised by both Member States and abroad as the driving force in promoting eSafety development and deployment in Europe. It welcomes new eSafety stakeholders to contribute to its activities, which are partly carried out through its active Working Groups (WG): Communications WG, eCall Driving Group, Implementation Road Map WG, International Cooperation WG, Research and Technological Development WG and User Outreach WG.
eSafety Forum membership is voluntary and does not entail any obligations. Members are also kindly encouraged to join the active Working Groups. Submissions for membership should be sent by 31 March to info@esafetysupport.org in order for new members to participate in the 2-3 May eSafety Forum Plenary Meeting in Brussels. This meeting, the first plenary of 2006, will take stock of eSafety achievements. The second plenary meeting is scheduled for 8 November.
