eSafety Forum Working Groups meet
Date: 30 November 2005
The eSafety Forum Communications Working Group (WG) met for the first time in Hannover on 26 October 2005 to set their main priorities and an action plan. The participants came to the following conclusions:
· focus on all means of communications that reduce fatalities and injuries · identify sources and collect all existing information on vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication · discuss the development of business models for service providers
Furthermore, a concise overview of all activities in the communications area throughout the EU will be prepared and presented to the eSafety Forum Steering Group. The next meeting of the Communications WG will be on 17 January 2006 in Mainz at the Bundesnetzagentur in Germany.
The eSafety Forum Digital Maps Working Group (WG) met at ERTICO’s offices in Brussels on 18 November 2005. They worked hard on implementing the final edits to their “Recommendation” report. The results of their work can be downloaded below. The Digital Maps WG is co-chaired by TeleAtlas (Ad Bastiaansen) and NAVTEQ (Yiannis Moissidis) and contains public sector representation.
