General News: 3 December deadline for Geneva ITS Congress submissions

The 7th European Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services to be held from 4-6 June 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland will accept draft paper and special session proposals until 3 December 2007.

3 December 2007 is the deadline to submit draft technical and scientific papers and special session proposals for the 7th European Congress and Exhibition on ITS. Organised on behalf of ERTICO – ITS Europe by ITS Congress Association and in cooperation with ITS Switzerland, the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Geneva the congress is to be held from 4-6 June 2008 at the Palexpo Convention Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Congress expects to attract delegates from all over Europe and the Middle East. The programme ranges from the strategic vision to the technical implementation of ITS applications, from research and planning to the operational use of systems and services.

At the exhibition, world-class suppliers will present their latest ITS innovations including advanced vehicle control systems, travel information and traffic management systems, digital mapping, public transport applications, smart card and communication technology.

ITS in Europe 2008 in Geneva will arrange many technical visits to sites with interesting ITS applications in Switzerland as well as in nearby France.
