ITS United Kingdom’s “Smart Moving” Conference

Third annual event to be held 17-19 April 2007 alongside Traffex 2007 in Birmingham, UK.

ITS United Kingdom, a member of the ERTICO-initiated Network of National ITS Associations, has opened the Call for Papers for Smart Moving 2007, which will take place at Birmingham’s NEC 17-19 April 2007. It will take place alongside the long-established Traffex Exhibition, a leading traffic technology exhibition in the UK.

Smart Moving 2005 was attended by nearly 300 ITS professionals from all around the world, and next year’s edition promises to build on this.  ITS UK is supported in producing the event by ITS Canada and ITS America, as well as by the European national ITS associations in Romania, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden.  It also has the support of ERTICO Partner UK Department for Transport and the Highways Agency.

The Leader of Birmingham City Council, Cllr Mike Whitby, and Steve Norris, President of ITS UK and former UK Transport Minister, will both give keynote addresses at the event.

The Call for Papers remains open until 1 December 2006.
