News from the ADASIS Forum
Date: 03 October 2005
The ADASIS Forum held its first Commercial Vehicle Task Force (CVTF) meeting on 21 September at the Volvo Technology Corporation’s (VETC) offices in Sweden. Commercial vehicle makers, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suppliers, map makers and navigation system suppliers met to discuss the future of digital maps for commercial vehicles and their applications.
The group agreed to continue pursuing activities in this area, paying special attention to applications that could result in fuel consumption savings, route optimisation and lower running costs. The group will also seek to link the CVTF activities with projects currently being undertaken, such as SPARC http://www.sparc-eu.net
