Project News: AGILE to hold workshop on LBS and Galileo

 Project event 17 October 2007 in Torino, Italy to feature live demo on location-based services and Galileo.
The AGILE project, in which ERTICO – ITS Europe is a participant, will hold a “Location-Based Services and Galileo - Future business opportunities" workshop and application demonstration, that will take place on 17 October 2007 at the Telecom Italia premises in Torino, Italy.
During this event, there will be a number of presentations from the AGILE team and invited presenters covering all aspects of the Location Based Services (LBS) market, including:
- Regulation and standardisation activities in the LBS area
- Business and market activities
- LBS application success stories
- Expectations for the future
A live demonstration of the AGILE LBS application will exhibit features such as:
- The integration of GPS, network-based positioning technology and WiFi
- Assisted GPS technology
- Simulations of application-specific Galileo enhancements
- The first implementation of the Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) protocol version 2.0 for assistance data delivery
The personal nature of location based services means that they are better demonstrated to a smaller group of individuals. With this in mind places are limited and we urge you to register your interest as soon as possible.
