Project News: CVIS Workshop in Aalborg
Date: 01 June 2007
21 June workshop focuses on architecture for cooperative vehicle-infrastructure systems.
The ERTICO – ITS Europe-coordinated CVIS project has organised an open and informal workshop on 21 June 2007, following the Aalborg European ITS Congress, which will address the issues surrounding architectures for cooperative vehicle-infrastructure systems and services. The event will take place at the Hotel Hvide Hus in Aalborg, Denmark and will feature presentations of the architectures developed in the CVIS project for vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-infrastructure communication and networking, as well as a selection of urban, inter-urban and freight/fleet cooperative applications. Interactive sessions focusing on architecture-related issues for future deployment will also take place.
The aim of the event is to present and validate the various CVIS architecture views before the project enters its development and test phase.
The workshop is open to both CVIS project partners and to the ITS community in general. This is your chance to learn about the latest developments in Europe’s largest cooperative systems project, which brings together leading organisations to build the foundations for a future where vehicles and infrastructure will communicate – and enable an exciting world of new applications and services. The final outcome of the workshop should be a better understanding of and agreement on the different elements that need to interface and interact seamlessly, in order that cooperative systems may work together to bring benefits to all users and stakeholders. As this workshop will take place the day before midsummer’s day, a special social event and dinner has been organised at a local microbrewery the evening before. Workshop participants are warmly invited to join!
