Project News: ETNITE wraps up in Aalborg
Date: 26 June 2007
ETNITE project Final Workshop takes place at the 6th European Congress and Exhibition on ITS.
The ETNITE consortium held its Final Workshop on 19 June 2007 in Aalborg, Denmark during the European ITS Congress.
The Leonardo da Vinci co-financed project ETNITE - in which ERTICO - ITS Europe is a participant – has been improving the scope and quality of ITS training and education in Europe by supporting the ITS-EduNet, a self-sustaining, pan-European organisation formed in May 2004 devoted to these issues. In the long term, high-quality ITS training and education of students and professionals will lead to faster implementation of ITS applications for improved efficiency, safety and sustainability of European transport systems.
At the Final Workshop, the ETNITE consortium presented the project's final results and introduced the ITS-EduNet network members, its high level operational structure and the rules to become a member.
The new ETNITE/ITS-EduNet brochure also made its début at the Congress. The 4-page brochure offers information on the ETNITE project and ITS-EduNet, including how to become a member. A copy can be downloaded here.
