Project News: EURAM meeting on risk assessment for critical infrastructure
Date: 02 October 2007
16 October EURAM project meeting focuses on method for risk assessment of European critical infrastructures.
The ERTICO – ITS Europe-supported and EC-sponsored EURAM project will hold a workshop on 16 October 2007 in Brussels.
The aim of the EURAM project is to propose ways to develop a general, cross-sector, European common basis for risk assessment across organisations that operate critical infrastructures (CI). The workshop will assess the usability, efficiency and effectiveness of elements of the proposed method, as well as the way in which it provides comprehensive and consistent results across the business operations of the CI operators.
Attendees to the event will learn about the new method, have a chance to network with large critical infrastructure stakeholders in an informal setting and assist the EU in formulating a risk assessment methodology that will help to protect all European citizens. As such, the opinion of those present will have a strong influence on the methods that are to be proposed by the project. Represented organisations will be well positioned once the methodologies are officially released to the EU member states.
Places are strictly limited, therefore for registration and further information, please contact ERTICO Project Manager Gary Bridgeman or call +32 (0) 2 400 07 44.
