Project News: ROSATTE and FeedMAP move closer to ERTICO map family
Date: 26 May 2008
ROSATTE will hold a special session together with the FeedMAP project at the ITS Congress taking place in Geneva on 3-6 June. The session is scheduled for Friday 6 June, 14.00-15.30. FeedMAP and ROSATTE are part of a wider set of activities that were coordinated or supported by ERTICO such as NextMAP, ActMAP, MAPS&ADAS and the ADASIS forum. FeedMAP is a map data feedback framework concept where map deviations detected by in-vehicle systems are reported back to mapmakers. The project is currently in its final testing phase.
ROSATTE is a spin-off from the eSafety Working Group on digital maps. The 30-month project, which started in January, will demonstrate how a seamless link can be established between public authorities and mapmakers i.e. the owner of the data and their users. The main focus will be on speed limits, but functions should be extended to all safety attributes contained in maps for use by in-vehicle systems or nomadic devices.
Do not miss this chance to get more insight on the two projects and on how they complete the ERTICO map activities. For more information do not hesitate to contact Sophie Dupuis, s.dupuis@mail.ertico.com or Maxime Flament, m.flament@email.ertico.com
