TMC Forum General Assembly 2006
Date: 10 February 2006
The ERTICO-coordinated TMC Forum held its 2006 General Assembly on 25 January at ERTICO. Over 50 members were in attendance and others were represented by proxy.
The event featured a summary of the Forum's recent activities in the Chairman's Report given by TMC Forum Chairman Danny Woolard. Jeff Littlejohn of Forum member Clear Channel Radio gave a very interesting presentation on TMC rollout in the US, just one aspect of TMC's growing and glowing success beyond Europe. This positive trend in TMC was also reflected in the number of members travelling from far afield to attend the event.
New ERTICO CEO Arnold Van Zyl also took the opportunity to introduce himself to the members of the TMC Forum.
The newly elected members of the TMC Forum Management Group were announced. There are three changes to the Management Group this year:
- Nicolas Kireeff of T-Mobile Traffic replaces Axel Rudolph of T-Systems as one of the two service provider sector representatives
- Ralf Duckeck of Bosch Blaupunkt replaces Gert Siegle of Bosch Management Support as one of the two receiver manufacturer sector representatives
- Volker Hiestermann of Tele Atlas replaces Kees Wevers of Navteq as map database supplier sector representative
