Current ITS developments and information exchange on state of the art in India and EU were discussed and key stakeholders met for a first time.

The targeted workshops include discussions and exploration for the development for:

- Traffic organisation and management
- Traffic information services-real time data
- ITS requirements and standards
- In vehicle systems and services
- Road charging
- Multi-modal traffic information and Location Based Services (LBS)
- Digital Map technologies
- Emergency incident response systems
- Traffic Messaging Control
Participants
European participants of the events include the European Commission, vehicle and equipment manufacturers, digital map providers, telecom operators, service providers, road operators, research institutes, as well as national and local authorities.
AITS-ITS India promotes the events in India to relevant ministries, state governments, planning commissions, universities, research institutes and industry.
A special effort is being made to include representatives from the whole ICT sector and in particular SMEs are welcome to the events to foster new innovative ideas. National ITS organisations from European Member States are also be important networks for national information distribution and involvement.
