EU-India Workshop, New Delhi
2-3 March 2006
ERTICO took an EU delegation of ITS experts to India for a two-day meeting programme on eSafety development in India. The purpose of the visit was to meet key stakeholders in India and learn about key transport problems, current activities in ITS and priority areas for eSafety cooperation.
2 March: Meetings with Delhi-based transport institutes
The EU delegation visited various transport institutes involved in transport and automotive research, traffic data collection and automotive testing and homologation.

3 March: EU-India eSafety cooperation workshop
The Ambassador of the EC delegation in India, Mr Francisco Da Camara Gomes, opened the workshop with a keynote address. ERTICO presented the eSafety initiative and the EU-India project to Indian stakeholders. EU experts from industry and research sector also presented the latest technologies in Europe that could be introduced to India to representatives from public authorities, industry and academia.
