Overview

The three-year Road Charging Interoperability project, which is partially funded by the DG Energy and Transport of the European Commission, started on 29 June 2005.

The RCI Consortium currently consists of 26 partners, including toll operators, suppliers, truck makers, representatives of both the DSRC and the CN/GNSS communities, and some specialist companies providing expertise on the relevant research issues.

For all other actors and stakeholders in the field of road charging, the RCI Forum was established. It offers its members the opportunity to receive all important public documents and newsletters as well as participate in workshops and, if possible, in local trials.

The two vice-chairs of the Steering Committee, ASFA and Toll Collect GmbH (represented by T-Systems International), represent the strategic view of the companies inside the Consortium.
