Dear colleagues,
I would like to share with you the summary (attached) of an event of the Forum for Mobility and Society concerning necessary steps to deploy Mobility as a Service in Europe. The event was opened by the Member of the European Parliament, Christel Schaldemose, and the conclusions were made by the Minister of Transport and Communications of Finland, Anne Berner. The event served to achieve more recognition and understanding of MaaS in the European Parliament and other stakeholder groups in Brussels.
The panellists Jacob Bangsgaard, President MaaS Alliance and Director General FIA Region I, and Erik Jonnaert, Secretary General, ACEA, highlighted the importance of the MaaS Alliance to bring all the stakeholders together to cooperate on the implementation of Mobility as a Service.
The ERTICO office commented on the need to focus on the customer, achieve scalability of the services and fair competition.
