RACC released an improved version of its free real time traffic & travel information website

ERTICO Partner RACC (Reial Automòbil Club de Catalunya) has upgraded its free traffic and travel information website adding a bunch of brand new features.
 
RACC launched its RTTI website in 2009, and since then constant improvements and new content has been added; the website provided speed-based traffic flow information (based on loop sensor and FCD crowd-sourcing), incident and journalistic data, more than 1 100 traffic cameras, daily updated fuel prices from more than 8 000 fuel stations, all static speed cameras across Spain and traffic flow information for other 18 EU countries.
 
The recently released version of the website (which requires users to register to the RACC corporative website) adds the following features:

• Predictive traffic up to 12 hours in advance.
• Routing engine that provides the most efficient route (in terms of travel time) taking traffic congestion into account.
• Customisation features such as favourite traffic cameras and predefined views.
• Traffic alerts: users can configure customized alerts for their daily commutes or vacation trips and RACC’s traffic information server will “push” traffic alerts (congestion, incidents, roadworks or weather) by email.
