Video Competition
Dear colleagues,
I would like to thank you all, in the name of ERTICO - ITS Europe, the Network of National ITS Associations and the Lyon European ITS Congress organising committee for your enthusiastic participation in the "Bringing Intelligence into Mobility" video competition.
The purpose of the video competition was to promote the usage of videos to demonstrate the power of ITS to improve mobility. It will become ever more important to reach beyond the ITS and transport sector to European and world citizens as we move into deploying ITS. Audiovisual media will play a vital role in communicating the benefits of ITS - with less accidents, fewer fatalities and injured people, less congestion, cleaner and more comfortable mobility - to the users, the European citizens.
All submitted videos were shown on the ERTICO stand in the exhibition area of the European ITS Congress, and also benefitted from increased YouTube traffic. The 50 submitted videos gained a grand total of 3573 votes!

The three winning videos were shown at the VIP dinner of the European ITS Congress in Lyon on 6 June 2011, which also served as the ERTICO 20th anniversary celebration. Over 200 ITS VIPs then voted for their favourite.
The winning video, ITS World Congress 2009: Young Thoughts on Future Travel, was shown at the closing ceremony of the European ITS Congress.
