2026 marks a significant milestone for the European Automated Valet Parking Platform (EAVP). Recent platform achievements include the finalisation of the Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS) Version 5, supporting automation integration across SAE Levels 0 to 4 in parking operations, while remaining agnostic to specific Automated Valet Parking (AVP) standards. In parallel, preparations are underway for lighthouse deployment projects in several locations, including a demonstration in Salzburg, Austria, planned for the second half of 2026. These initiatives align with cities’ roadmaps for safer and more sustainable mobility systems, while strengthening multimodal use cases across Europe. At Intertraffic Amsterdam, taking place from 10–13 March 2026, several members of the EAVP will be present to discuss these developments for the duration of the event.
ERTICO – ITS Europe, as founder and coordinator of the European Automated Valet Parking Platform (EAVP), plays a central role in steering multi-stakeholder collaboration within the platform. Through EAVP, ERTICO supports the development of common standards, promotes interoperability, and helps drive the transition from innovation to large-scale deployment of automated, human-centric parking, parking services, and mobility solutions across Europe.
