John holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer and Management Sciences from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. He joined ERTICO’s Innovation and Deployment team in September 2021, originally on a part-time secondment from the Public Transport Authority Transport for West Midlands. His expertise lies within 5G, Urban Mobility and MaaS.
John previously worked as part of the Innovation Team at Transport for West Midlands, where he led projects to provide 5G enabled sensors. He was also a Vice-Chair of ITS UK’s Mobility as a Service forum. Prior to working at Transport for West Midlands, he worked just over a year at a start-up working on driverless vehicles, MaaS and associated services. Prior to that, he worked for over 15 years at the Engineering Consultancy AECOM on public transport ITS projects for local and national government, including six months working in South Africa. He’s a native English speaker.
