At a time of profound geopolitical shifts and accelerated green and digital transitions, the Türkiye–EU Business Forum, taking place on 6th November 2025, will uncover the theme of “Building Resilience and Competitiveness in a Geopolitical Age”.
Hosted by the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the European Union (EU) and organised by Forum Europe, the event will bring together senior policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and civil society to explore how the EU and Türkiye can strengthen their partnership to foster sustainable growth, enhance industrial competitiveness, and advance a pragmatic model of cooperation. With Türkiye’s Green Deal Action Plan and the EU’s renewed competitiveness agenda as key drivers, this event provides a timely platform to align shared ambitions for resilient and future-ready economies.
ERTICO CEO Joost Vantomme will join Panel 2: “Sustainable Mobility Towards Net-Zero”, taking place from 11:30 to 12:35. The session, moderated by Sinan Özkök, Managing Partner at Otoplus and Chairman of SkyMavi Mobility Technologies, will examine how connected mobility, digital infrastructure, and sustainable transport innovation can accelerate the green transition and strengthen EU–Türkiye collaboration in areas such as electric and automated mobility, battery circularity, and smart city development. The panel will also host the speakers: Martin Engell-Rossen (Head of Cabinet to Commissioner Jørgensen), Süer Sülün (Deputy Chairman, Automotive Manufacturers Association of Türkiye – OSD), and İlhan Altun (CEO, United Group, Ottomotive Tech).
This exchange closely aligns with the thematics to be explored at the upcoming 17th ITS European Congress in Istanbul, 27-29 April 2026, organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe with support of iSBAK and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). The Congress will further build on these discussions, showcasing how innovation and cooperation can shape the future of sustainable urban and cross-border mobility.
