The NextETRUCK project is accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in urban logistics. As a significant pollution source with a growing urban presence, NextETRUCK is introducing zero-emission, electric medium-duty freight vehicles to help decarbonise city environments.
Barcelona, Istanbul, and London are the testing grounds for the three project EVs, which will provide invaluable insights to accelerate market replenishment and inform the definition of new business models.
Barcelona is the first pilot site launching the demonstration phase, focused on collecting bulky waste such as furniture and household appliances. On 25 September, the project consortium will host a pilot event to present NextETRUCK's objectives, examine this trial, and showcase the truck’s technologies and components.
Thursday, 25 September
9:00 - 16:00

Participants will also have the opportunity to witness the Irizar truck firsthand and engage with expert partners on key topics, including NextETRUCK digital twinning and charging infrastructure.
