After three years of groundbreaking work, the Horizon Europe Coordinated Support Action STREnGth_M is reaching its conclusion. To celebrate the project’s achievements and insights, ERTICO will host the hybrid Final Event in Brussels on 29 January 2026.
Since its launch on 1 February 2023, STREnGth_M has played a pivotal role in planning and advancing Road Transport Research (RTR) across Europe. Coordinated by AVL List and involving 24 partners, including ERTICO, the project has focused on identifying future research needs, updating strategic research agendas and roadmaps, and fostering continuous exchange among Horizon Europe partnerships and platforms. It has also monitored global developments in e-mobility and explored the feasibility of innovative solutions for emerging markets in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
In its final year, STREnGth_M has made significant strides: identifying barriers to the deployment of RTR results, evaluating roadmapping mechanisms, highlighting education and training priorities, and shaping future RTR agendas. The project has actively supported the updating of ERTRAC roadmaps in six thematic areas and promoted knowledge exchange through events such as the annual Results from Road Transport Research (RTR) Conferences, with continued engagement at TRA 2026 in Budapest.
A key part of the project’s impact has been the Multiplier Group coordinated by ERTICO, which extends the project’s reach across Europe and ensures active stakeholder participation.

The event will be held in a hybrid format. In-person attendance is reserved for project consortium members, the Multiplier Group, and representatives from CINEA/EC. Those keen to explore STREnGth_M results are encouraged to join online.
