Connected and Adaptive Maintenance for Safer Urban and Secondary Roads
Impact
CAMBER develops and demonstrate safety monitoring across urban and secondary rural road networks through real-time data feedback into road maintenance systems and proven low-cost interventions.
Objective
- Establish digital connections, safety performance criteria's and low-cost infrastructure measures
- Integrate data from vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technologies in asset and road safety management
- Refine maintenance procedures and techniques while demonstrating concepts for optimised road safety and asset management
- Provide guidance materials for road managers and a digital twin roadmap for creating simple and effective digital twin models for roads
- IRAP-accredited list of data sources and suppliers to undertake road safety assessments
- Cost-benefit analysis of each of the solutions
- Safety-enhanced maintenance planning and priorisation tools for road managers supported by road safety Star Rating methodology.
