Joint Developments for Urban resiLIence connecting users to public transport through space technology
Impact
JULIA aims to enhance public transport networks by integrating EU Space services. The project leverages the European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS). It also uses Galileo for positioning and timing data for improved accuracy and Copernicus to provide an air quality information layer for PTOs.
Objective
- Create a more advanced and user-friendly public transport ecosystem, ensuring market readiness levels TRL7-9
- Educate stakeholders and decisionmakers in the PT sector about the benefits of utilising Galileo in their operations
- Communicate users about the benefits on smoother, safer journeys with real-time info and improved reliability.
