Impact
DFRS improves road safety across Europe for all road users by creating a Safety-Related Traffic Information (SRTI) Ecosystem through collaboration between vehicle manufacturers, traffic information, service providers, automotive suppliers and public authorities.
Objective
- Reduce road fatalities through data exchange, contributing to the EU goal of halving road deaths to 50% by 2030.
- Involve different actors to ensure the large-scale use of vehicle data on a mutual basis.
- Regulate this sharing of data so that it complies with the EU legislation
