EU Road Safety Conference 2026

On 23 November 2026, the European Commission will host the EU Road Safety Conference 2026 at the Charlemagne Building in Brussels, Belgium. The event marks the halfway point of Europe's 10-year strategy to halve road deaths and serious injuries by 2030.

Bringing together policymakers, researchers, employers and civil society leaders from across Europe, the conference will provide a platform to discuss emerging challenges and developments in road safety. Key topics will include the role of health data in improving road safety, the rise of connected and automated vehicles, and the growing importance of data-driven policies and decision-making.

As a trusted public-private partnership advancing intelligent transport systems, ERTICO recognises the importance of collaboration, technological innovation and data-driven approaches in making mobility safer. The conference offers an opportunity to exchange expertise and explore how intelligent transport solutions can contribute to reducing road risks and supporting safer mobility for all.

The conference will also feature the announcement of the 2026 Excellence in Road Safety Awards, recognising inspiring initiatives making a difference to road safety across Europe.
